Agenda
2026 CPC Annual Conference
Tuesday, October 20th
Chicago, IL
Tuesday, October 20th
As a continuation of this successful presentation in 2025, this is a starting point of HPP fundamentals. This includes product categories that are well suited for the technology, and the process-development considerations that determine success, including formulation, packaging, validation, and cold-chain management.
The Cold Pressure Council’s HPC mark appears on many consumer products. Now, CPC is introducing a strategic refresh designed to better communicate the benefits of HPP, from food and beverage safety and taste to nutrition retention, clean-label formulation, and extended shelf life. Adam Renfree, principal of branding agency Colony, will present the refreshed visual identity and marketing message.
Packaging material is critical to HPP success. This presents how these innovations are helping HPP brands meet evolving sustainability and performance goals. Attendees will gain practical insights into packaging design for HPP applications, including package durability, product-to-package optimization, shelf impact, and more.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to transform High Pressure Processing (HPP) validation by integrating large datasets, predicting microbial inactivation, and supporting process development. This presentation explores AI as a decision-support tool for process authorities, highlighting its opportunities, limitations, and regulatory considerations, and discusses how AI can enhance validation while complementing scientific expertise.
High-Pressure Processing (HPP) contract processors guide food and beverage manufacturers through the entire process of applying HPP—for food safety or shelf-life extension—from concept to commercialization, the objective is to be as seamless and cost-effective as possible. HPP involves scientific, packaging, and regulatory considerations; these processors work directly with manufacturers at each step, offering guidance and referrals to co-packers, packaging suppliers, labs, transportation providers, and other key services.
